Feb. 12th

here's another batch of 45s for your listening pleasure. this week i'll be putting together next weeks blog especially for Mardi Gras. make sure to check back next week for that, it should be good. if you are even a semi reader of my blog, you'll know that i am a huge Gino Washington fan and i figured i'd kick off today's blog with the 45 that started it all for me. Both sides are amazing and completely capture all of the elements of why he is one of my favorites. i've also been on a huge Hannibal kick lately, so i'll end the post with a great, early one from him. See you next week.

Gino is great...it's not that often that an artist has recorded the same song twice, and had both versions come out equally good..

The Falcons cranked me today..Oh Baby is just beautiful..

the Bruce Channel hit the spot as well...love the drum/handclaps action...[when are handclaps ever bad?]..

i'm looking forward to seeing what you've got in store for carnival....

Wow! Just discovered your blog and will definitely visit again! Thank you so much for Gino's Puppet, simply stunning and original too - I love that peculiar sounding instrument in the background (called "mungiga" in Swedish but I don't know the English word for it?)

I would be honoured if you would pay a visit to my humble blog www.jonosaudio.blogspot.com

Perhaps my compilation "Lose your blues and laugh at life" would interest you

All the best from a snowy Stockholm!
